Overlord, a 2018 American war horror film directed by Julius Avery and written by Billy Ray and Mark L. Smith and produced by J. J. Abrams through his Bad Robot Productions banner with Lindsey Weber, had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin on Saturday night, September 22, 2018. The plot follows several American soldiers who, on the eve of D-Day, drop behind enemy lines to carry out a crucial mission for the invasion. As they approach their target, they soon begin to realize there’s more going on in the Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation.
Walking the red carpet were cast members Jovan Adepo, Wyatt Russel, Pilou Asbaek, John Margaro, Iain De Caestecker, Mathilde Ollivier, Dominic Applewhite, Director Julius Avery, Producer Lindsey Weber, and Executive Producer Jon Cohen.
Overlord is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 9, 2018, by Paramount Pictures.
