Grumpy Cat brings the hate to SXSW in Austin

The star of last year’s well-known Austin-based festival SXSW is back and Grumpy Cat, the “Worst Mate,” set sail aboard the S.S. Holy Shrimp Boat to bring her fellow Austin felines her new favorite cat food: Friskies Seafood Sensations with NEW shrimp flavor.

To celebrate cats’ love for shrimp, Friskies donated 25,000 Friskies Seafood Sensations with NEW shrimp flavor meals to local Austin shelter cats. With fan support the donation could be up to 50,000 meals as Friskies will donate an additional meal to the Austin Animal Center for every time fans use the hashtag #HolyShrimp between March 7-9.

The S.S. Friskies Holy Shrimp Boat took a city tour of Austin before delivering Grumpy Cat to the Mashable House for a special meet-and-greet with her closest fans.
