Mack, Jack & McConaughey, the charitable foundation started by Mack Brown, Jack Ingram and Matthew McConaughey, brought the Dixie Chicks to the ACL Live at the Moody Theater on THursday, April 12, 2018, for their sixth annual benefit series that raises millions for charities working to empower children.

Since its launch in 2013, the nonprofit has gifted nearly $7.5 million to charitable organizations. Funds raised through the 2018 event will support CureDuchenne, Dell Children’s Medical Center, HeartGift, just keep livin Foundation and The Rise School of Austin.

Thursday kicked off the multi-day event with the gala and a special performance by the Dixie Chicks, with a fashion show, golf tournament and the “Jack & Friends” concert featuring Patty Griffin taking place the following day, April 13..

Gino Barasa
Gino Barasa is an Austin, Texas-based freelance photographer.
Gino is grateful he grew up poor so that he could never afford to leave the state of Texas.
Known in Austin for his love of shooting the ever-changing Austin landscape, his true love is found in the Texas Hill Country and the endless vistas of the great wide open spaces of West Texas.
Gino feels his strength is in trying to understand the story that every setting is telling and finding a way to let that story ring true in the images he captures.
