All ATX Presents: Back to the Armadillo at Auditorium Shores, Austin, TX, October 29, 2017
Review and Photography by Stan Martin

Back To The Armadillo is the biggest celebration of Austin Music Benefitting Austin musicians and celebrating the music of the “Armadillo World Headquarters”. Music History in Austin TX started with the “Armadillo World Headquarters” in 1970. For many musicians, it was the first large stage where they played their music to an audience of Hippies and Rednecks alike. Very different from the small beer joints and dives scattered around central Texas.

The names of some of these artists range from Willie Nelson to Frank Zappa and many more names we all know today. Some still performing around here and some passed on.

2017 LINEUP FEATURES HEADLINER JOHN FOGERTY, WITH SHAKEY GRAVES, JACK INGRAM, MICHAEL MARTIN MURPHEY, GARY P. NUNN, FASTBALL, KELLY WILLIS, MY JERUSALEM, AND MORE
