Featuring St. Paul and the Broken Bones
ACL Live at the Moody Theater, Austin, TX, February 15, 2018

The 2018 Rockin’ Round Up benefit concert featured St. Paul and the Broken Bones and was expected to raise more than $250,000.  These funds will help Any Baby Can expand its programs in Central Texas, bringing services to approximately 500 additional families. VIP guests enjoyed a reception and program that included Texas State Senator Kirk Watson and a live auction.

St. Paul & the Broken Bones took the stage shortly after 9:00 PM, with vocalist Paul Janeway quietly approaching the microphone wrapped in a preacher’s robe. He held his hands high and sung the opening notes to “Crumbling Light Post,” his soulful voice washing over the Moody Theater in rich, dulcet tones. Then, with one sudden movement, he discarded his robe, revealing his purple-patterned suit coat and it was on! This eight-piece band from Birmingham Alabama let loose with a tight sixteen-song set that had the audience on their feet and dancing their cares away. Janeway whirled around the stage, mesmerizing the audience with his 60’s dance moves and soul-singer gestures. He ran through a palette of emotions that went from pleading and crying to ecstatic happiness.

It was a fantastic night benefitting a very worthy organization
