The San Antonio Rodeo is now in full swing and on Saturday, February 8th, the center spotlight fell on the co-headlining married duo of Carly Pearce and Michael Ray.

Once the circular, rotating stage was set up, the band took their positions and played Pearce into her intro chart-topping hit, Careless. Pearce was electrifying, serenading the stadium with songs like You Kissed Me First, It Won’t Always Be Like This and I Hope You’re Happy Now, all of which flexed her amazing vocal range. One very heartfelt moment came when she talked about the first time she played the AT&T Center back when she was only known as a duet singer for the Avett Brothers, and how grateful she is that her fans have brought her back as one of the headliners of the Rodeo.

Bridging the sets, she brought up her husband Michael Ray to join her for a handful of duets, including Finishing Your Sentences, and a cover of Johnny Cash and June Carter’s Jackson. Afterward, Pearce left the stage and it was Ray’s turn in the spotlight, launching off on Kiss You In The Morning. His set was an energetic boot-stomper, with hit after hit of Country party tunes like Summer Water, Get To You and Think A Little Less. At the end, Ray gave everyone a proper send-off with his number one hit One That Got Away,  joined onstage by Pearce to sign an autograph for a lucky young fan.
