Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley Locked and Reloaded

On Friday September 27, rain and clouds were replaced with beautiful Austin skies just in time for country pop stars Miranda LambertDierks Bentley, and Charlie Worsham to take stage as part of their “Locked and Reloaded” concert tour at the Austin360 Amphitheater.  As a photo montage of famous vintage female icons appeared on giant screens and Beyonce’s “Girls” (Rule The World) blared on the speakers, Miranda Lambert took stage and opened with ‘Fastest Girl in Town.’ Pink guitar and microphone in hand, Lambert delivered a terrific performance.

Dierks Bentley, longtime pal and co-billed on this tour, offered up a dynamic one-hour set that featured his own hits ‘Tip It On Back,’ ‘Sideways,’ and ‘Come a Little Closer.’  Bentley made use of every square inch of the Austin360 Amphitheater stage and brough with affable stage presence, a killer band, and alternated between the banjo, fiddle, steel guitar and a well-worn Martin acoustic.

Charlie Worsham opened for Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley.  With his newly-released debut ‘Rubberband,’ this collection of songs shows off his sharp songwriting skills and terrific vocals.  Worsham is not new to the stage, in fact he has toured with Taylor Swift and holds a degree from the Berklee College of Music.
