NOLA Texas Food and Music Festival
H-E-B Center, Cedar Park, TX, April 8, 2018

Texas showed a little Louisiana spirit when the NOLA, Texas Food & Music Festival presented by H-E-B returned to the front lawn of the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Sunday, April 8. This year’s festival showcased funk, brass, zydeco, Cajun and the blues with seven bands, including the Grammy award-winning Dirty Dozen Band, Dr. Zog, Louisiana Hall of Famer Wayne Toups & Royal BluGarou, Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience, Dikki Du & The Zydeco Krewe, and Mayeux Broussard.

Those in attendance had the chance to tempt their taste buds with a variety of food vendors selling everything from jambalaya to alligator, not to mention 5,000 pounds of free large, boiled, live crawfish, served one plate at a time. This family and dog-friendly event also featured arts and crafts booths, Mardi Gras costumes, dancers, roaming performers, and marching bands, and plenty of activities for the kids including bounce houses and slides, face painters, and a petting zoo with pony rides.
