Appearing in a flashy baby blue suit adorned with enough bling and sparkle to do Elvis proud, Chris Isaak performed at Austin’s ACL Live on September 4, 2013.  Isaak proudly represents just about everything that most modern day performers are not.  He is the superlative professional, showing a deep respect for his fans and band mates, with undeniable vocal talent and stage presence.  Chris Isaak is completely desynchronized from today’s pup culture but fans clearly embrace his uniqueness as an entertainer.

If you have never experienced Chris Isaak live in concert, it’s hard to convey all that he brings to the stage. Although his show is similar to many found on Las Vegas stages, experiencing his live performance is so much more than that.  He and is band have attires that make them look like they should be on stage in the company of Elvis and Liberace.  It doesn’t hurt that Isaak‘s idol good looks, wicked sense of humor, and amazing voice make for a memorable night of entertainment and music.  Isaak’s band is fantastic, and you can tell they have a genuinely great rapport with each other.

Chris Isaak performed for about two hours with so much energy that it’s easy to forget that he is fifty-seven years old.  He sang most of his big hits like “Wicked Game,” “Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing,” “Blue Hotel,” and “San Francisco Days,” hitting all the right notes as he always does.  One more than one occasion, Isaak dashed into the ACL Live audience to perform, joke and interact with his fans.
