Sanders held an enormous rally at Austin’s Auditorium Shores to rally his supporters ahead of the Super Tuesday Primaries in Texas. The day resembled an outdoor festival with the over 12,000 attendees treated to local folk artists and speakers in anticipation of the Vermont Senator’s address. Undoubtedly the talent in the city of Austin was on full display with the inclusion of Molly Burch and the Black Angels at the top of the bill for the musical guest. Burch’s soothing and rhythmic voice set a serene atmosphere to the day, while the experimental and hard-hitting riffs of the Black Angels electrified the crowd. After the music stopped playing, local politicians took the stage to offer their support to the cause of Sander’s campaign and set the tone for the Senator’s appearance. Before that though, Texas native and former rival in the Democratic Primary race, Marianne Williamson, took the stage to deliver her endorsement of Bernie Sanders for President, which was met to thousands of cheers. Finally it was Sanders turn to address his base and offer an impassioned speech about his plan to take on the Establishment in his party, as well as President Trump in November. In his speech, Bernie Sanders called for a Federal Minimum Wage of $15 an hour, his plan to fight climate change, and his signature policy, Medicare For All.
