Sturgill Simpson at Austin City Limits TV and Stubbs BBQ Austin

American country music singer-songwriter and Kentucky-born phenomenon Sturgill Simpson had a busy week in Austin, Texas. Following his Wednesday night taping of “Austin City Limits,” he then had two sold-out performances at Stubbs BBQ. Sturgill, playing his acoustic guitar and backed by a four-piece band, performed songs from both High Top Mountain and his second album entitled Metamodern Sounds in Country Music released in 2014.
